Many Mothers could use YOUR help
improving the community, one baby
at a time
Do you like working with new babies? Many Mothers is a small non-profit that pairs committed volunteers with Santa Fe families with a new baby. Volunteers provide in-home direct support for moms and their newborn babies; they ask
that you commit to a family for three months, giving three hours each week for 12 weeks. You will not only support mom, but also her baby, during a very tender and challenging time. Tasks cater to each individual mom but may include:
• Holding the baby while mom showers, naps, eats, spends time with older sibling;
• Play with older sibling while mom bonds with newborn;
• Help fold baby clothes;
• Provide company for mom by sharing a cup of tea or simple conversation;
• Accompany mom to doctor’s appointment or other errands.
You can also help with fundraising and other community outreach events. There is a background check and volunteer orientation involved. Call Triston today to get started!
