The mission of the Santa Fe RSVP is to recruit and support senior volunteers who want to share their experience, care, knowledge, and skills. We provide meaningful volunteer opportunities throughout the community. Research has revealed that people who are active after retirement live longer, happier, healthier lives. RSVP is the vital link that connects a lifetime of talents and experiences to the larger community needs.

RSVP provides volunteer placement, supplemental accident and liability insurance, volunteer recognition banquets and gifts, limited mileage reimbursement and optional conferences and workshops. All you have to do is submit your volunteer hours to us quarterly. We add them to all the others to show just how much time our volunteers contribute. We put that information into our grant funding requests so the program can receive funds which enable us to help more people join our volunteer ranks. So, the whole system is self-sustaining.

Whether you are a senior already giving all the time you have to spare, or do some volunteering and would like to look into additional volunteer opportunities, or are not yet an active volunteer, RSVP can help.

The Santa Fe RSVP is a Section of the Division of Senior Services, sponsored by the City of Santa Fe’s Community Services. Additional program funding comes from the state of New Mexico’s Aging and Long-Term Services Department and the federal government’s Corporation for National and Community Service.
